House Rules
The following house rules are used.
Experience – Advancement Rolls¶
This is an update to the rules on p.29.
If an an advancement roll fails, don't remove the checkmark. Instead, circle it. Next time a checkmark is received, place it next to the first mark. When rolling for advancement, you get a boon for each circled checkmark1. Once the advancement roll succeeds, remove all checkmarks and circles.
Kin¶
Every player character is a human, but all are born i a specific star-sign, which common superstition claims will give them certain attributes and abilities. In short, a new character may pick any kin's set of abilities, and the kin name becomes their star-sign. I.e. being born in the sign of "The Man" will grant the kin ability for human.
Skills¶
Scribing replaces the Riding skill. And becomes available as a starting trained skill for the following professions: Knight, Mage, Merchant, and Scholar.
Scholars and Mages must choose the skill as a starting trained skill.

Boons make it easier to succeed, so in this case, pick the highest roll, to increase the chance of gaining a point in the skill. ↩
