The magic of the New Lands is a shadow of what it once was:

  • Sorcery that once bent realities has devolved into rudimentary spells and cantrips.
  • Mages are trained in the remnants of the old arts, and strive constantly to uncover more knowledge of the old magic. This is achieved through expeditions to the haunted remains of the old world in the baren lands of the central continent, and through necromancy to consult the ancestors.
